The overwhelming support shown in the last January 20th primary is very heartening. To receive 5425 votes as General Candidate was unexpected. I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to the students of University Malaya for honoring me with your votes. And to the volunteers who gave their time and money, who worked hard and never gave up for this election, Thank You Very Much!

This is not a victory yet. The victory is when the student's rights are able to be restored. When the infrastructures are mended and when your voice are being heard. Together we work for a better University Malaya.
Thank you for the trust and confidence you placed in me as your representative. The opportunity to serve comes with a great responsibility, and I take that responsibility very seriously.

As the Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching, I would like to extend my affectionate greetings to all our Chinese brothers and sisters in University Malaya, “Xin Nian Kuai Le” and "Gong Xi Fa Chai". I hope and pray that in the coming year the people of Malaysia will be able to create a meaningful harmonious society by ensuring equality, justice and friendship among all its nationalities toward a true practice of ‘Bangsa Malaysia’
